The Pyramids of Güímar
The Pyramids of Güímar are surrounded by a park.
In addition to the Pyramids,
there is also a Museum of Ethnography (Museo Etnográfico).
There are some remarkable figurines and exhibits.
A reblica of the Carrack Santa Maria,
with which Christoper Columbus crossed the Atlantic in 1492.
Artefacts from Papua New Guinea:
A crocodile drum,
carved from a single tree.
Bearded Men.
White and bearded men
worshipped and also sacrificed.
Shown in ancient Mexican art,
before the Spanish came.
Now to come to the point, the Pyramids of Güímar
(Piramides de Güímar).
Which are,
six pyramid shaped terraced buildings in lavic stone.
The purpose for which they were intended,
still puzzle us.
It is supposed that the building was built in the 19th century.
